I started using The Name "Lonnie Jay" on The Internet Years Ago... and Still Do. So... I Will Continue to Use it Here as Well.

Don't want to go into much "detail" here. Just more or less want to Introduce Myself... so you know who I Am... along with a little of My History... Interests... and Aspirations.

I was born at Anna, Illinois... and Moved to Cairo when I was Six. Grew Up in Cairo... and after High School went to Paducah Junior College for a Year.

Worked for The Illinois Highway Department for a Year... and got drafted. Went to Vietnam. After My Return Home... I Attended and Graduated from Shawnee Community College. Then went to SIU at Edwardsville... and Graduated in 1976 with a BS in Psychology with a Minor in Computer Science.

Went to SIU Carbondale for a Year... working on a Second Degree in Biological Science... but decided to not continue with it. Had a Really Great Time Though!

Took Off on a Road Trip Cross Country on My Motorcycle (650 Honda)... and Eventually Landed in New Orleans. Met a Gal in 1981 and Got Married... Then Got Divorced in 1990!

Came back to Cairo for awhile (or so I thought) to Help My Mom and wait for The Divorce to Come Through (in Louisiana you have to be Separated a Year). Worked as a Self Employed Computer Consultant briefly while Substitute Teaching for The Cairo School District... then Taught as an Adjunct Instructor for Shawnee for a few years. Also taught a Computer Basics "Adult & Kids" Class through Shawnee for a while. That Was Fun.

Then decided I needed to get out of The Chair and on My Feet more... and be in a more Socially Active Environment. So... What Else... I went to work for Wal-Mart in 1996. And... after 12 Years... I am Still There. Go Figure! Might Just Be Time to Move On...

My Main Interests are Music, Books, Computers, Photography and Writing... and Movies.

Obviously, I Enjoy Creating Web Sites... and seemed to have Mastered The "Basics" at least. So much to Learn... So Little Time!

While in College... one of My Main Interests was Consciousness and Time... and How Social Systems Affect Our Perception of "Self". Since then... I have Learned More about Language and Social Systems and Interpersonal Dynamics. 

From a Social Perspective... it is Very Important that We Understand How The "Structure" of Social Systems both Effect Language and Human Health... and Vice Verse. They MUST BE IN HARMONY with Each Other... or You Will Have what I Call Existential Dissonance (Essential Stress)... leading to Ill Health... in All It's Forms.

What We are Seeing in Today's World... is a Good Example of Just That. And We as Citizens simply "Have" to Get Involved in The Social Evolution of This Country. And Through Political and Social Involvement... try to Somehow Get The Social Structure to a More "Normal" or Harmonious State.

It happens on The Grass Roots Level... and It Happens with People like You and Me... Expressing Our Self and Working Toward Creating Healthier and  more Harmonious Social Systems and Institutions... such as Government, Education and Religion.

The Opportunity to DO THIS with Little Egypt is Incredible. This is ONE FANTASTIC AREA... and We Can Bring The World to Our Doorsteps. But We Have to Do It as Individuals... Working Together as Group Teams to Make It Happen. We Have To Do It for The Purpose of Making Our Lives Better for Ourselves and Others... with Integrity and Responsible Reason.

It may seem to be a Long Way from The Philosophy of Self to The Reality of Economic Growth and Prosperity... but it Really Isn't. The Bottom Line is... It's All About People... Working and Playing Together Toward Common Goals.

If I can Somehow Get The People of Little Egypt to SEE The VISION that can Turn This Area into a World Attraction... then Maybe We can Start a Spark that will Ignite The World... and Help Bring It Together in Harmony.
